The Mediterranean region reinforces its institutional presence within the BWF

During the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) held in Xiamen, Andoni Azurmendi and Joanne Cassar were elected as members of the BWF Council for the 2025–2029 term.

Together with Mario Carulla’s position on the BEC Executive Board, COMEBA consolidates a strong, coordinated, and strategic presence within two of the most influential organisations in world badminton, thereby amplifying the voice of the Mediterranean region.
